Update My Library Card

Is your card expired?

Bethel Public Library cards expire every 3 years to guarantee that your information is current. When your library card expires, you will be unable to place holds, borrow items, or use our virtual resources until your card is updated by library staff. Library cards must be renewed in person.

When it’s time to renew your card:

  •  Visit the Circulation Desk.
    • Sunday: 1:00-5:00 PM (September-June)
    • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM-8:00 PM
    • Tuesday, Friday, Saturday: 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Bring photo identification that includes your Bethel address.

Have you gotten a new e-mail address or phone number?

If you recently changed your phone number, cell phone carrier, or e-mail address, please stop by the Circulation Desk during your next visit to let us know. This is how we communicate with you when item requests are available for pick up, checked out items are due soon, and other important account information.

Did you move recently?

If your new address is still in Bethel, stop by the Circulation Desk on your next visit to update your account.

If you have moved outside of Bethel, don’t forget to get your new library card from your new home library! If your new library is a Bibliomation library, they will update your information in our shared system. If your new library is in Connecticut, you will still be able to use any public library in our state with your home library card, so feel welcome to come back for a visit!
