Spotlight: Vacation or Staycation… We’ve Got You Covered!

Your hometown library has many free resources to make your summer more enriching and more fun! All you need is your Bethel Library card and a sense of adventure!

Planning a vacation? Peruse the Library’s travel collection (900s) for guidebooks and more about dozens of destinations. Traveling to a non-English-speaking country? Then you’ll want to check out the Mango Languages database, where you’ll be able to learn over 30 languages! You can access Mango from your home computer with a valid Bethel Library card.

The Library also has a subscription to SCOLA, which receives and re-transmits foreign language TV programming from around the world. This database is accessible only from within the Library.

If you’re staying closer to home–enjoying a Staycation–you’re in luck! Connecticut has lots of attractions, and the Friends of the Library generously sponsors museum passes to many of the most popular. Passes provide free or reduced admission and are available with your Bethel Library card.
