Children of all ages can enjoy a variety of programs at the Michele Arnhold Children’s Library!
You expect storytimes at a library, but did you know that your home town library offers many other types of programs for children ages 10 months to 8 years?
Here, all in one place, is a list of things to do “Under the Big Top!”
STORYTIMES
Pre-School: Weekly stories, book-themed DVD, and/or simple craft for Bethel children 3-5 years old who are able to sit without their parent/guardian.
Terrific Twos: Weekly stories, book-themed DVD, and/or simple craft for children 2 years old with their parent/guardian.
Mother Goose: Weekly stories, rhymes, music, and movement for infants 10-24 months with parent/guardian.
PJ Storytime: Monthly stories, book-themed DVD, and/or simple craft for children 3-8 years old who are able to sit without their parent/guardian.
Family Storytime: Monthly stories, book-themed DVD, and/or simple craft for children 3-8 years old with parent/guardian and siblings of all ages.
ONGOING PROGRAMS
Books and Bricks: Kids in Grades 1-4 enjoy stories and building with Legos.
Read to Provolone: Independent readers in Grades K-5 read to the Library’s lovable service dog.
Chess Clubs: Kids Grades 1-7 who know the rules and moves of the game meet to learn and play.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Annual Cookie Decorating Program… in memory of Michele Arnhold.
The Summer Reading Kickoff Party…with various entertainers like musicians, puppeteers, and more!
Seasonal Craft Days…all-day themed activities.
Special Movie Days.
