In The Spotlight: What’s New Under The Big Top?

The Michele Arnhold Children’s Library is always adding new items for kids of all ages!

Step inside the BIG TOP! There you’ll find the latest chapter books, graphic novels, nonfiction, and Nutmeg Award nominees. Explore a bit beyond the Big Top, and you’ll discover new DVDs, music CDs, and audiobooks in their respective collections.

We encourage you to visit the Children’s Library to browse the collection of new items or find award winning titles. We’ll be happy to help you find what you’re looking for. If you want to view the online Kid’s Catalog before your visit, CLICK HERE!

And if you want to find additional award winners Bethel Library owns, you can do that through the Library’s online catalog, too. Simply type the name of the award (as shown in the list there) in the search box. CLICK HERE to get to the awards page.

Children love exploring the Library, too—and their very own Library card makes it even more exciting for them! Thanks to the Friends of the Library, a free sunny yellow book bag will be given to every child who signs up for his or her first Bethel Library card. Children must be at least 5 years old or able to write their own names.

Please be sure to look closely at the Big Top display case itself because it holds the latest LEGO creations by participants of the Books & Bricks program.
