In The Spotlight: Exciting News For Teens

If you’re in Grades 6-12, you don’t want to miss these exciting programs. And if you know someone that age, you don’t want them to miss these exciting programs, so please pass this along!

It’s the second half of our special year of programs in the Teen Library. As we reported earlier, the Teen Services Department received a grant for just under $7,500.00 through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA)* to provide innovative programming for teens through June 2016. Here’s what we’re offering now…

On February 4, the six-week session on Making the Musical begins. It will culminate in a mini-show for family and friends. We especially encourage students who haven’t had the opportunity to participate in school performances. Here at the Library everyone has a part! Read more about this fun program.

On February 17, we start another Creative Writing course with popular local author Lauren Baratz-Logsted. This session is for students in Grades 9-12.

Once again, we’re offering Makerspace training sessions to use the Library’s new 3D printer, Raspberry Pi’s, littleBits, MaKey MaKeys, and Squishy Circuits.
