Be Curious. Be Enlightened. Be Inspired. Attend Library Programs!

Last year the Bethel Public Library held over 300 programs, with more than 5,500 people attending one or more of them. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library, the Bethel Garden Club, and other organizations and individuals, we are able to bring you a variety of programs for all age groups.
Programs vary from story hours and Lego programs for children, to book discussions, dramatic presentations, arts and crafts, and computer classes for teens and adults. One quick way to see what’s going on at the Library is to visit our online calendar. There you’ll see, in one place, what’s happening at the Library, and be able to register for most Library events.
And registration is important! We have to restrict the number of attendees based on the maximum capacity of the room where the program is being held (maximum capacity is determined by the Fire Marshal). Other times the program presenter may limit the number of participants, especially for arts and crafts programs, as supplies must be purchased for all who attend.
Bethel Public Library programs are very popular—just ask the thousands who attend!—and often have waiting lists. So when registration is required, please do register if you plan to attend so you’ll be assured a spot, and so we have enough supplies on hand, if applicable. On the flip side, please do notify us if you are no longer able to make the program. Freeing up your space gives someone on the waiting list an opportunity to attend.
