In Celebration of Founder’s Day!
Everyone is invited to join the Bethel Public Library as we celebrate Founder’s Day in September! First up is the annual flower arrangement exhibition and contest sponsored by the Library Board of Directors.
Why? The Library’s founder, Maria Parloa was active in community landscaping projects—planting shrubs, bulbs, and lots of flowers throughout Bethel!
All ages are invited to create a floral arrangement and exhibit it at the Library, with the option of entering the contest. Ribbons will be awarded in two age categories: children up to age 12, and adults and teens. ALL arrangements will be exhibited!
Arrangements must be delivered to the Library on September 17 from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, or on September 18 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, and must be accompanied by a completed submission form.
Contest rules and submission forms are available online, or in person at the Library.
For more information regarding contest rules and entry forms, please call the Library at 203-794-8756, ext. 4 for the Reference Desk.
