May is Military Appreciation Month

To mark the 70th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe) on May 8th, and the many other dates honoring our military that take place this month, come visit the display on the second floor near our Reference Desk…

In addition to an original copy of the London Evening News announcing, “Germany Surrenders,” you can see a collection of everyday items saved from that period by families in the US and Britain.  The exhibit will be on view through Memorial Day (May 25).
