Be a Library Partner!

By Lynn Rosato, Library Director
January-March 2014

YOUR CLUB OR BUSINESS CAN BE A LIBRARY PARTNER

Bring an educational, entertaining, or inspiring program to the community and increase your visibility at the same time.  The Bethel Library is always looking for business or organizational partners to help support the programs and services we provide.

Our new Business and Technology Center is now open and we’d like to offer classes in using QuickBooks and Photoshop to businesses and the general public. We’re looking for volunteers well versed in these programs to help us teach them to the public. If you can help, please contact me at the Library.

Join these and others who continue to make the Bethel Public Library your community center:  The Bethel Garden Club, The Bethel Historical Society, The Bethel Women’s Club, The Chamber of Commerce, The Friends of the Bethel Public Library, MOMS Club of Bethel, R.E. Lawlor Printing and Graphics.

YOU CAN BE AN ADVOCATE FOR YOUR LIBRARY

Budget season will soon be here and you can help the Library by speaking on its behalf during the public hearing. Let the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Finance know how important the Library is to you and your family. Write a letter to the editor on behalf of the Library.

Throughout the year, tell everyone you know what a wonderful and unique resource the Library is every chance you get. Encourage your friends and neighbors to become Library patrons and Library advocates. Learn more about how the Library operates. Attend programs, read the newsletter, visit the website and use the resources provided there for you. Become a Friend of the Library.

We are grateful for all who appreciate and support the Bethel Library on a regular basis. Your input helps us to improve our services and make the Library a better place for everyone. May we celebrate 2014 with you all year long at the Library!
