Welcome to the site of The Friends of the Bethel Public Library, a non-profit organization devoted to supporting and aiding our community's wonderful library. We hope this site will be useful to you.

The Friends raises money primarily through the sale of books, audio books, CDs, videos, and other materials that have been generously donated to us by members of the community. Please click on Book Sales & Donations to see a list of our sales for the current year. We also have an on-going sale of books from a cart near the library's Circulation Desk. Check the cart whenever you're in the library. We continually add new stock, including books and videos suitable for folks of all ages.

Have materials to donate? Great! We accept donations almost every Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 pm just inside the front entrance of the Pro-Access Teen Center next door to the library on Library Place. Please do not leave anything at other times. And please: no magazines, no condensed books, no old textbooks or encyclopedias, and no computer software more than 5 years old. If you need to arrange another time or need to have items picked up, please telephone Rick (744-6641) or Jenny (792-8237).

If you are not already a Friend, please join us. Membership information is available online: Membership Form, at the library's Circulation Desk, and in the library's newsletter. Please come to our annual and general meetings (see Meeting Schedule), give us your ideas, and volunteer your time. Help us support the library and its outstanding staff.
