PJ Storytime

Children’s Program Room,
1st Floor, Bethel Public Library

A monthly evening Storytime program that includes stories, activities, and DVD’s or crafts suitable for children ages 3 – 8 years old who are able to sit alone without an adult. Parents/caregivers may not sit with the children but must remain in the library during the storytimes. Children can come dressed in pajamas. Favorite stuffed bedtime pals may also attend! No registration required.

Facebook for Beginners

Author Talk and Book Signing with Patricia Barkman

Meet local author Patricia Barkman who will discuss her novel Lieber. It weaves the story of her long marriage to Leon Barkman with her own autobiography and fascinating memories of the couple’s travels and richly colored friendships. The book also reveals Patty’s wrenching experience of the Sandy Hook massacre, which followed Leon’s death by 83 dark days. As Newtown seeks to heal itself so, too, does the author.
